The École Poirier Choir will be performing a song entitled ‘Enfant de Paix ~ Child of Peace’ at our upcoming Remembrance Day Assembly on Tuesday, November 10th. The assembly will begin shortly after the end of morning recess – at 10:45, and should last about 30 minutes.
The choir has been rehearsing together since September, and will be joined this year by all the students of Mme Hait’s grade 3/4 class, who have been working on the song in their music class as well, and will be providing a second part to the melody. We are very fortunate to be accompanied on the piano by Mrs. Patricia Haisell, one of our noon hour supervisors, who is also a local piano teacher.
If possible, please have your choir student dress in a white top and dark pants or skirt for the performance. If they wish, they can bring a change of clothes for the afternoon. Each choir member will wear a yellow choir scarf and a poppy.
Parents are always welcome to attend our assemblies, so we would love to have you join us if you are able.
